Tammy Herod, owner of Tammy’s Hair Gallery of Oxford, is a self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur at heart. And she’s good at it, too. Aside from being a salon artist, she owns a lawn service, she’s a real estate agent, and she runs a non-profit, Women of Worth and Excellence, or WOWE.
Women of Worth and Excellence consists of just that, women who know their worth and excel at what they do, all under the tutelage of Ms. Tammy. WOWE hosts events around the LOU community.
Spark Sessions will be hosting a free event series, centered around the concept of entrepreneurship in the Oxford community. It will be a six-part development series, which started on Saturday, July 24, from 9 to 11 am, and end on Sunday, August 29 at 3 pm to 6 pm. Other Oxford professionals will be hosts in attendance as well. The goal of the series is to build community by educating and inspiring entrepreneurship. To register for this event, you can send an email to tbhoxford@gmail.com. The subject line should be “Spark Sessions.”
Everything from pitching a business idea to launching an actual business will be discussed. Those with and without existing business plans (who may not have an actual plan, but have a business idea) are encouraged to attend. It will be at the Hampton Inn & Conference Center at 105 Ed Perry Drive in Oxford.
