Tristan Holland (18 of Collierville, Tennessee) was formally charged today with Accessory After the Fact and given a bond of $25,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
The charge stems from a hit-and-run event that occurred early Sunday morning, October 12, 2022 behind City Hall on the Oxford, Mississippi Square. Two Ole Miss students were run over by a man driving a Toyota truck.
The male victim succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The female victim was eventually transferred to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee with critical injuries. The male victim was identified as Walker Fielder, an Ole Miss student from Madison, Mississippi.
The driver was later identified as Seth Rokitka, 24, of Collierville, Tennessee. Rokitka was arrested Monday at 8:30 am after crashing his truck in Marshall County, Mississippi. Tristan Holland was arrested in Shelby County, Tennessee and faced extradition to Oxford.
Due to public speculation on social media platforms, Oxford Police were forced to dispel rumors of the incident.
