On the Reel:
by Matt Wymer
starring Ice Cube, Kevin Hart
This movie is one of the rare sequels that lives up the original. This movie is able to incorporate the first movie’s plot point and still seem fresh. Take your buddies to see it and you will laugh your way out of the theater.
starring Leonardo DiCaprio ,Tom Hardy
The movie is visual poetry. This movie seamlessly blends the digital effect with the long, wide nature shots. Blending violence with heart to pull through this survival story. Director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu has made his masterpiece. There is a reason that this movie has over 100 nominations and 29 wins. Take a friend who appreciates good movies!
The eighth film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, this film has the look and tempo of a classic Western, with the signature ultra violence of a Tarantino film. His nostalgia for classic film runs wholly through this movie. Tarantino used High def 70 mm Panavision film to capture the beauty of the snow-covered landscape. This movie is nearly three hours with an intermission (in some theaters), hearkening back to early days of film when going to the movie would take the entire evening. It was a bit long winded, but if you love Tarantino’s movies this is for you!
