Oxford, Mississippi native and Freshman Ole Miss receiver D.K. Metcalf is out for the season with a broken foot and will likely be a redshirt.
“I haven’t talked to the doctors about how long (his timetable) is,” head coach Hugh Freeze said. “With the way the waiver rules are, with him being able to get a redshirt, I would doubt — I would never say never — but I would doubt we would try to make that (coming back this season) happen.”
Metcalf has had two receptions so far this season, both for touchdowns.
