On July 17, 2017, the owner of Bridge Properties came to the Oxford Police Department to report one of his employees fraudulently using the company’s Home Depot credit card. The transactions were done from August 9, 2016, through July 17, 2017, for a total amount of $3,823.03. The owner signed an affidavit of arrest for Felony False Pretense against the employee who was identified as Steven Pettit (38 of Oxford). An arrest warrant was issued and Steven Pettit was arrested by investigators with the Oxford Police Department at Bridge Properties and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. He was given a bond of $5,000.
