Stop in at Square Books from 9 am friday, August 25 to 6 pm Sunday, August 27 for the First Amendment Weekend Sale.
“In celebration of the vital importance of the First Amendment in the United State Constitution which prohibits, among other things, ‘the making of any law abridging the freedom of speech,’ or ‘infringing upon the freedom of the press,’ Square Books will offer our customers 7% discount on book purchases all weekend,” said Square Books in a released statement.
The promotion is meant to celebrate the tradition of free expression and will take place the same weekend as the Mississippi legislature exempts gun sales from taxation. Square Books hopes that raising awareness will encourage the state to give book a similar tax-free treatment.
