Mayor’s Report
Authorize the approval of the minutes of the regular meeting on September 19, 2017 and the recess meeting on September 26, 2017.
Authorize the approval of accounts for all city departments.

1. Authorize Water Plant Operator to attend MsRWA and MDEQ training in Tupelo, MS on October 24–27, 2017 at an estimated cost of $175.00. (Bart Robinson)
2. Request permission for one officer to attend refresher certification training at MS Delta Academy from October 1-20, 2017 at a total cost of $900.00. (Joey East)

Authorize a change order for time extension for the Pressure Control Valve Replacement Project. (Bart Robinson)
Authorize concurrence with Lafayette County for awarding of contract with Alternate #3 (water & sewer extension) to low bidder, Xcavators, Inc., for the construction of West Oxford Loop from Anderson Road to College Hill Road in the amount of $9,644,908.02 for the base bid and $1,245,536.35 for Alternate #3 for a total of $10,890,536.37. Authorize City Clerk to submit payment to MS Department of Transportation Office of State Aid in the amount of $4,810,707.80 for the City’s share of the road construction and the installation of water and sewer including 4% contingency funding. (Bart Robinson)
