Oxford, Mississippi’s Board of Aldermen voted Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at a Special Session to force bars and restaurants to shut down at 10 pm again.
Kitchens at these businesses can continue to serve food after 10 pm., as long as it is pick-up, curbside, or delivery.
The board also decreased social gatherings to a total of 10 people indoors and 20 people outdoors if social distancing can be achieved. These changes do not apply to occupancies in businesses, only social gatherings elsewhere in Oxford.
The City of Oxford Board of Aldermen also voted that people have to wear a mask both inside and outside as well, where six feet of distance isn’t possible.
These new rules go into effect on Friday, July 17 at 8 am.
