In early November 2023, the Oxford Police Department took multiple reports regarding commercial burglary near Sisk Avenue. Several cars were broken into with cash, luxury items, and electronics missing. Upon investigation, Octavious McMullen, 24, of Abbeville, Mississippi, was charged with 3 counts of Commercial Burglary and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
McMullen was taken before a Municipal Court judge for an initial bond hearing and was issued a $30,000 bond and has had holds placed by other agencies.
