Chelsea Elizabeth Bennett 26 years old of Abbeville, Mississippi.
On June 19, 2024, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit received a report from Lafayette County Child Protective Services (CPS), regarding a child that tested positive for narcotics.
An investigation was opened and as a result of the investigation, the child’s mother, Chelsea Elizabeth Bennett 26 years old of Abbeville, Mississippi, was arrested and charged with one count of Child Endangerment.
Bennett was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center, and later was released on bond. A Lafayette County Justice Court Judge issued a bond in the amount of $5000.00.
Due to the sensitivity of the investigation involving a juvenile, no further information will be provided at this time.
