On June, 7, 2017 around 5:30 p.m. officer responded to 1904 Jackson Avenue West, Wendy’s, for an armed robbery radio call. When officers arrived in the area they spoke with the victim who told them he was robbed at gun point by an older black male. The victim stated he was approached by the suspect a few minutes early in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The suspect asked the victim for a ride to the other side of town. When the victim agreed to provide assistance the suspect along with another unidentified black male got in the victim’s car. The victim stopped at Wendy’s parking lot to get food. As he was getting out of the car the suspect and the other passenger got out and approached the victim. The suspect, pulled a gun and demanded the victim give him his money, watch and necklace. When the victim handed over the items the suspect and the other male fled the scene on foot. Investigators were called to the scene and are working the case. At this time we have no other information on the suspect or the other passenger. Attached is a photo we recovered from Wal-Mart of the suspect. Investigators are asking for your help in identifying this man. Anyone with information is asked to call us at 662-232-2400 or CrimeStoppers at (662) 234-8477.
