On November 24, 2023, the Oxford Police Department responded to a business on the 900 block of North Lamar to a take a report about a fraudulent check. After investigation, Jakayla Flowers, 22, of Batesville, Mississippi, was charged with Uttering Forgery.
Flowers was taken before a Municipal Court judge for her initial bond hearing and issued a $10,000 bond.
