After the death of his son, Will, in the 2001 airplane crash that took the lives of nine additional members of the Oklahoma State basketball team and support staff, Bill Hancock’s 2,747-mile journey from the Pacific to the Atlantic became more than just a distraction. It became a pilgrimage.
Bill Hancock was the first director of the NCAA Final Four, first director of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) and the first director of the College Football Playoff.
Ole Miss football coach Hugh Freeze will give a special introduction to Hancock today.
