The four-legged family member is about to become an Oxford Favorite as Cannon Motors launches this year’s Cannon Canine Photo Competition. After two great years’ of having a number of breeds compete in The Cannon Canine Writing Competition, Michael Joe and Cheryl Cannon have switched to a photography contest. With today’s technology, one is always snapping photos of their family and this venue would make it even easier for the challenge.
While it may be easier, there will still be a competitive edge. All Oxford residents are invited to submit photos in three different categories:
1) Best Looking Canine in Oxford
2) Owner/Canine Closest Look-a-Like
3) Most Unique Photo of Canine
Email your high-resolution photos to cheryl.cannon@att.net and please include your name and the breed of the dog (if applicable) and the category you are entering.
Photos may also be dropped off at the Cannon Chevrolet Dealership located at 100 North Thacker Loop in Oxford. Deadline for submitting photos is October 27 at midnight.
Four Winners will be selected with the front-runner being named the 2020 Cannon Canine Best Overall. The Cannon Canine Competition Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 14 at 9:00 am at the Cannon Chevrolet Dealership located at 100 North Thacker Loop Oxford, MS. Fabulous prizes are sponsored by Crossroads Animal Hospital, DeltaDog Oxford, Hollywood Feed, and PetSmart.
The Best Overall Cannon Canine Winner will be featured in a Cannon Ad, ride in a Cannon vehicle in the Christmas Parade, and have a portrait painted by Rosie Vassallo.
