In a recent press release following a win over Auburn, Coach Orgeron was asked about his time at Ole Miss and if he misses anyone.
“No,” said Orgeron, “I used to stop at the Exxon and get a chicken on a stick, and they were fantastic.”
His memory is slightly foggy as it was later confirmed he intended to reference the Chevron on South Lamar famous for it’s 24/7 chicken on a stick.
“Yeah, chicken on a stick,” Orgeron said. “It was phenomenal. I hope that cook is still there, and I can stop and say hello to her. That’s about all I remember.”
While his time at Ole Miss may not have been the all that winning, he still has at least one place happy to welcome him.
“Absolutely, Coach O is welcome,” said Chevron owner Ray Rupani. “Why not? Come see us. We’ll be open before the game and late after the game.”
With his clear passion for foods on a stick, LSU just might be the best place for him. A video can be found here.
