Preston Lee Goodwin, 46, of Courtland, Mississippi
On July 23, 2024, the Oxford Police Department responded to the 400 block of Bramlett Boulevard for a reported stolen vehicle.
The responding officer then reviewed footage from security cameras nearby and was able to locate a suspicious male, later identified as Preston Lee Goodwin, 46, of Courtland, Mississippi, enter the vehicle and leave the area.
Detectives responded to the scene and began to work the case and were able to locate the vehicle in Panola County and another vehicle that had been stolen out from Water Valley, Mississippi.
Goodwin was charged with Motor Vehicle – Felony Taking Away and has charges pending from other surrounding jurisdictions in relation to this case and had a bond set by a Municipal Court judge.
