Tony Maurice Parker of Water Valley
On Thursday – February 22, 2024, at approximately 18:05 hrs., the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch received a call about a careless driver. Dispatch was advised the location of the vehicle and description of the vehicle. The caller stated they were behind the vehicle.
Deputies responded to the area and found a vehicle on the side of Hwy. 6 with the caller behind the vehicle. Deputies spoke with the driver later identified as 63 year old Tony Maurice Parker of Water Valley. Deputies later determined Mr. Parker was under the influence. Mr. Parker was later arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center.
Deputies were able to confirm Mr. Parker was a convicted felon for DUI and was on probation out of Grenada County with MDOC.
Mr. Parker is charged with DUI 4th or greater, given a bond of $15,000.00 by a Justice Court Judge, and placed on hold for Mississippi Department of Corrections.
