The Oxford Police Department and University Police Department have partnered with the Oxford Field Office of the FBI and the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office for additional resources and assistance where needed in the case of missing person Jimmie “Jay” Lee.
The joint investigation is ongoing. As of July 19, 2022, officers are:
– Continuing to follow up on all tips.
– Digital warrants have been returned and officers are reviewing the data. – We are still awaiting numerous other digital search warrants. – More physical area searches have been conducted.
– Additional video footage has been obtained and reviewed.
