From March 26, 2020 until March 30, 2020, several residents on Old Taylor Road reported their vehicles had been burglarized. The Oxford Police Department began investigating these incidents.
On April 3, investigators executed a search warrant on an apartment off of Old Taylor Road. They were able to recover several stolen items and arrest two individuals, Ledarius Davis (21 of Oxford, Mississippi) and Rashod Sharp (21 of Oxford), who were involved with the burglaries.
Information learned after the initial arrests led to warrants being issued for three more individuals: Dalton Patterson (18 of Oxford), Brooklyn Savage (19 of Oxford), and Brandon Potts (18 of Oxford). All these individuals were located the same day and arrested without incident.
Davis was charged with 1 count of auto burglary and 2 counts of conspiracy to commit auto burglary. Sharp was charged with 2 counts of auto burglary and 1 count of conspiracy to commit auto burglary. Patterson was charged with 1 count of auto burglary and 2 counts of conspiracy to commit auto burglary. Savage was charged with 1 count of conspiracy to commit auto burglary. Potts was charged with 1 count of auto burglary and 1 count of conspiracy to commit auto burglary.
All five had their bonds set by a Justice Court Judge. Davis ($15,000), Sharp ($15,000), Patterson ($15,000), Savage ($5,000), and Potts ($10,000).
This is still an ongoing investigation and more arrests could be made as a result.
