Event is Open to Public
Oxford, Mississippi—Oxford School District parents and students are invited to join Good Food for Oxford Schools during a Heart Healthy Cooking Class on Thursday, February 12 from 6 – 7 pm in the Oxford Middle School cafeteria.
Dr. Kathy Knight from the University of Mississippi’s Nutrition and Hospitality Management Program will teach class attendees how to make heart healthy recipes. Menu items for the cooking class include crunchy broccoli salad, sautéed root vegetables, tilapia and a strawberry meringue dessert.
The cost of the class is $5 per person and is open to the public. Spots are limited, so those interested in attending are encouraged to secure their spot by registering for the event online. To sign up for the class, visit this page.
