On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, officers with the Oxford Police Department responded to a residence on Front Street for a reported drive-by shooting into an occupied dwelling. There were no injuries but a house had been hit by several bullets.
The victims stated that the suspect was Ladarius Shipp (23 of Grenada, Mississippi) who was disgruntled over purchasing a motorcycle.
The Leflore County Sheriff’s Department located and arrested Shipp the on Thursday, August 8, and transported him to their jail. Shipp appeared before a Justice Court Judge and was given a bond of $150,000.
