This old black & white photograph by Bob Davis could be any small-town intersection in the 1950s. But for my generation, that crossroads was ours on our way to town, pedaling our spider bikes. Hundreds of Oxford‘s families got their start in Avent Acres. We were all Avent Park kids.
The curve of Bramlett Boulevard matches the curve of Burney Branch, “the ditch.” The Avent Park pavilion is pictured lower right.
