Keep Cleveland Boring‘s Anotherfest, one of the non-profit organization’s many festivals, kicks off on Saturday, April 21 at 2 pm and ends at midnight. Celebrating it’s seventh year, Anotherfest is the springtime sister music festival to Keep Cleveland Boring‘s Otherfest, and hosts 750 to 1,000 festival goers annually.
With the help of area venues, this year’s Anotherfest will feature 11 live music acts from around the region. The acts are set to play at various venues across downtown Cleveland starting in the afternoon on Friday with different groups playing at each venue. Venues hosting live music include Mississippi Grounds, Delta Meat Market, The Warehouse, Mosquito Burrito, and Hey Joe’s.
This year’s Anotherfest line up boasts headliners El Obo, a melodic rock band who include former Colour Revolt frontman, Jesse “Rickenbacker” Coppenbarger; Moonlight Mechanics, a conglomerate of seasoned regional musicians including Cleveland’s own farming heart-throb, Craig Adams; The Delta State World Percussion band, who are a product of Dr. Josh Armstrong’s Delta State Music Department Drum Line, will perform percussive beats from around the world; and rock band, Fides, featuring former DMI graduate, Reed Smith, who are currently on a one country, two county tour in support of their latest ep, Rod and Eel. Other acts on the bill include a host of Mississippi favorites including Schaefer Llana, Dream Cult, Swear Tapes featuring, “Been There, Done That” Ben Yarbrough, Cody Rogers, Betzenzo, Holley Peel, and The Weej Witch Project, not to be confused with critically acclaimed, low budget movie, The Blair Witch Project.
