On November 18, 2024, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit began an investigation regarding a sex offender registration violation.
Roderick Jevon Perry, 39 years old of Oxford, Mississippi, was in violation due to not living at his registered address. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting sex offender checks to make sure all sex offenders are in compliance with the State Regulations.
Perry was arrested and charged with Sex Offender Registration Failure and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. Perry appeared before a Justice Court Judge for his initial appearance. A bond was set in the amount of $10,000.00.
