On Tuesday September 22, 2020, investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department received a tip of a wanted fugitive, 35 year old Jovon Hayes of Oxford, in the Highway 6 West area of the county.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department along with Agents with Lafayette Metro Narcotics responded to the area. During the investigation, several individuals were arrested and charged. The crimes committed varied from drug charges, weapon charges, resisting arrest, and aiding a fugitive on the run. Investigators and agents confiscated illegal drugs, guns, and money.
27 year old Darius Smith of Oxford received a bond of $25,000.
28 year old Ashanti Johnson of Oxford received a bond of $60,000.
34 year old Demari Wilson of Oxford received a bond of $60,000, but was revoked and held on a MDOC hold.
34 year old Janeice Cohran of Oxford received a bond of $25,000, but was revoked due to her being out on a previous felony bond.
31 year old Kelby Campbell of Oxford received a bond of $20,000, but was revoked due to him being out on a previous felony bond.
22 year old Sabrina Holden of Oxford received a bond of $5,000. 35 year old Jovon Hayes of Oxford received a bond of $25,000, but was revoked due to him being out on a previous felony bond.
