This year a new quarterly entertainment event was launched in Oxford, “Melodies & Monologues.” With Wayne Andrews’ genius coming up with the title, the first two events at The Powerhouse were highly successful.
In May, former Nashvillian and DJ Steve Vassallo conducted a tribute to the music of the 60’s followed by former Senate Majority Leader, Trent Lott, taking the microphone to a packed house in August.
The next show is slated for Wednesday evening October 2nd (6 pm at The Powerhouse) when Steve challenges the audience via 14 classics from the 70’s. The evening will contain a few “vocal” surprises with some amazing prizes.
“I enjoy giving back to the community that I love and admire so much, said Steve. “Having been raised in Nashville, music is definitely part of my DNA.”
“The 60’s show in May was a test to determine if the audience enjoyed the production. The positive response was overwhelming so with the support and blessing of The Powerhouse, we proceed forward with more exciting productions!”
