Looking for a fun pregame party this weekend for the Ole Miss Homecoming Game against New Mexico State? 
On Friday, October 9th, you can experience the creative collision of 1980’s music and culture, the “ultimate 80’s cover band”, The Molly Ringwalds. Originally from Sheffield, England, each of the five band members don the wild persona and stage presence of an 80’s era icon, making for an “…amazing interactive show…big sound, big fun, and big presentation.”
Lafayette Oxford Foundation for Tomorrow (LOFT) invites you and your visiting guests to join us at The Lyric Theater for their annual fundraiser, where we will see and hear The Molly Ringwalds’ high energy take on a variety of artists and genres from Bon Jovi to Run-DMC to Madonna.
The benefit show will begin at 7:30 pm with The Wingits, a band of teenagers from Roxford University (Rox U), Oxford’s own new rock band school for local young people.
The Oxford PhotoBomb, a 1973 Retro Travel Trailer that has been converted into a unique photo booth to capture memorable moments, will also be in attendance at the fundraiser event. Photos will be $5 each and all proceeds will be donated to LOFT.
Doors for the concert open at 7:00 pm and The Molly Ringwalds will start at 8:00 pm.
Founded in 2002, LOFT is your Oxford and Lafayette county local community foundation, awarding over 100 grants totaling $225,000 to over 40 local community organizations, such as Boys and Girls Clubs of North Mississippi, Veterans Memorial Park, Oxford Medical Ministries, and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, to name only a few.
Advanced tickets for the event are $35 and $50 the day of the show. LOFT is also offering a $20 advance student ticket. Tickets can be purchased at www.TheLyricOxford.com or from LOFT board members.
