At approximately 9:50 am on Wednesday, December 20, the Oxford Police Department responded to the North Mississippi Regional Center for a report of a male with a gun. When officers arrived, they located Tashan Keller (24) of Abbeville, Mississippi walking around one of the buildings.
When officers spoke with Keller they found that he had a concealed handgun tucked inside his waistband. While officers spoke with Keller it was determined that he was a convicted felon. Keller had a previous drug sale charge. He was placed in custody and charged with Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $25,000.
No one was injured and no shots were fired.
