Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 276 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 11 new deaths, a sharp decrease from what was reported just days ago. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 72,412, with 2,095 deaths.
Currently there are 914 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection. There are currently 167 people hospitalized for suspected COVID-19.
There are now 174 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).
