Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 172 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and ten new deaths.
Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since February 2020 now stands at 311,159, with 7,188 deaths. 300,323 Mississippians are presumed to have recovered from COVID-19.
There are 27 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff). There are 170 patients currently hospitalized for confirmed COVID-19. There are 46 patients currently in intensive care for confirmed COVID-19. There are 223 available intensive care beds statewide.
