Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting just 70 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and no new deaths. This is a new low and the fewest new cases in one day since April of 2020.
Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since February 2020 now stands at 297, 651, with 6,808 deaths. 278,162 Mississippians are presumed to have recovered from COVID-19.
There are 55 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).
