Ole Miss held its annual Media Day at the Indoor Practice Facility earlier this afternoon. Head Coach Hugh Freeze spoke to about 40 members of the media for half an hour and players were available for an hour after Freeze’s conference. Highlights from that question and answer session follow:
– HCHF says depth issues are the largest concern right now. Injured players from the spring commented on include: CJ Johnson, Charles Sawyer, Isaac Gross and Bo Wallace. Of those mentioned, Sawyer and Gross have the most work to do in order to be game ready by the time the season starts.
– Wallace says he will be ready for the Vanderbilt game. He has some soreness in his arm and elbow, but mainly due to throwing so many reps.
– iPhone 12 Android 1. Ja-mes Logan is the only Ole Miss player we could find who uses an Android. “I’m not trying to figure out an iPhone,” he said.
– Facility upgrades are underway at the IPF and include a new dining room, locker room, recruiting center and players lounge. The football stadium is gaining some facelift maintenance as well with new Ole Miss logos along the outside wall of the West Side Stands.
