Braden McCauley, 36, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi. His friends will gather to have a Celebration of Life in his honor on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 6:00 pm at The Library Sports Bar, before he makes his way back home to his final resting place.
Braden was born on September 17, 1987, in San Angelo, Texas. He was raised in Farmington, New Mexico and attended Piedra Vista High School. He spent many of his years as a youth playing baseball, the sport that was his first love. After graduating from Piedra Vista, Braden attended the University of Mississippi.
Braden, through his years of work on the historic Oxford Square, was known and loved throughout the local community. He was the most loyal of friends and was always around to share his full laugh and endless love to those in need. He was deeply loved by his work family at The Library, where he spent the past seven years. He was often referred to by his alter ego “Malcolm” by the friends closest to him. Like Braden, “Malcom” was the focal point of a room through his humor, laughter, and energy for life.
Braden is survived by his parents, Ralph and Sheri McCauley of Olathe, Colorado; and his sister, Pami McCauley of Austin, TX.
