Officers with the Oxford Police Department made a traffic stop on a vehicle on April 19, 2018. Upon investigation it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen from Jackson, Mississippi. The driver, Winfred Parker (58 of Oxford, Mississippi), was arrested for possession of stolen property. Parker was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where his bond was set at $2,500.00.
