On October 7, 2017, officers with the Oxford Police Department responded to a residence on Booker Road for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival officers found that Eddie B. Booker (37) of Oxford, had strangled a family member while at the residence. Officers were advised that Booker left the residence prior to the officer’s arrival. Booker was located a short time later and was transported to Lafayette County Detention Center. Booker was charged with Felony-Child Abuse and bond was set at $15,000.00.
