On Thursday, June 13, 2019, an officer with the Oxford Police Department received a 911 call of a man passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle.
Officers arrived and found Leonard Campbell (34 of Oxford, Mississippi) passed out with open containers inside of the vehicle. A DUI investigations was started at that time. During the stop officers learned that Campbell had at least three prior DUI convictions.
He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked for DUI 4th, possession of drug paraphernalia, and open containers. Campbell was given a bond of $15,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
