On December 7, 2018, investigators with the Oxford Police Department took a report of a sexual assault that had occurred earlier in the day. During the course of the investigation the victim was able to identify the suspect as Kerriun Kinds (22 of Oxford, Mississippi). An arrest warrant was issued for Kinds for sexual battery.
Kinds was subsequently arrested on January 3, 2019. He was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he given a $25,000 bond from a Justice Court Judge.
