On Friday, April 5, 2019, investigators with the Oxford Police Department responded to Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi for a report of child abuse.
Investigators learned that a child had sustained suspicious injuries and was being transported to LeBonheur Children’s Hosptial in Memphis, Tennessee.
The child’s mother, Desirae Robinson (21 of Oxford, Mississippi), was determined to be the one responsible for the child’s injuries. Robinson was arrested for felony child abuse and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. She was given a bond of $15,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
