Submit your homemade pie for Oxford Community Market’s annual Pie Fest
Have you been fine-tuning your baking skills and you’re ready to show off? Join the Oxford Community Market for their annual Pie Fest 2024 fundraiser, June 25 from 4:30–6 pm at the Old Armory Pavilion to display your skill. Bakers of top ranked pies will receive prizes in four categories.
Bakers are asked to bring two homemade pies of the same variety to Oxford Community Market (OXCM), one for Pie Fest judges to sample and one for audience voting for the Audience Favorite Award. Additional guidelines and a signup form to join can be found by scanning the QR Code below, or by checking the link on Instagram bio @OXCM.
Community members who are not bakers are encouraged to participate in tasting at the Pie Fest! For a small suggested donation of $5, audience members can sample submitted pies and vote for their favorite pies. Audience members may donate $5 at the event or reserve their spot in line ahead of time by donating online.
OXCM is a nonprofit local food organization that operates a weekly year-round producers-only farmers market, supports the development of a strong local food system, and runs programs to address food insecurity in the LOU community. The 2024 Pie Fest will benefit market operations at OXCM and strengthen the organization’s ability to make fresh, local food accessible to all Oxford and Lafayette County residents.
In years past OXCM’s Pie Fest has been a community favorite, garnering dozens of pies and a friendly spirit of competition that is accessible for all age groups. Individuals are encouraged to bring along family or friends and picnic on the lawn to enjoy live music, tasty homemade pies, and the Southern spirit you’ve been craving!
