On Tuesday, September 25, the Oxford Police Department arrested Tyler Pirtle (23 of Pope, Mississippi) for aggravated assault.
On September 16, 2018, OPD responded to a fight on The Square in the alley between Jackson Avenue and Monroe Avenue. When officers arrived they found a victim in the alley unconscious. The victim had significant injuries to the face and head.
During the course of our investigation Pirtle was identified as the assailant. He has been charged and his bond was set at $15,000.
