Rafters on the Oxford, Mississippi Square welcomes The Eisenhauer Band on Sunday, August 9, 2015 for “Bluegrass and Brunch” from 11 am to 3 pm.
The Eisenhauer Band is mother, Rhonda Eisenhauer, children Andy, 14, and Amelia, 15, all of Nashville, Tennessee and producer Bryan Ward, of Water Valley, Mississippi.
The Eisenhauers are natives of Southern Illinois, but relocated to music city in August of 2012 to seek their fortunes in the music industry. Mr. Ward, a veteran musician, published songwriter, and founding member of the 90’s group, BonePony, produced the groups first single, “Deeper Well” in 2013. Their debut album titled “Under The Influence” is an eclectic, multi-genre contemplation record featuring covers of legendary artists The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Tracy Chapman, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Nina Simone, and Concrete Blonde. A forthcoming original album titled “Fortune Cookie” is set to be released fall 2015.
The musical genre of the group is best described as an ever evolving, unexpected eclectic blend of delta blues, bluegrass, Motown and acoustic rock.
