Ole Miss has had a rough season with rampant NCAA allegations and having to replace Hugh Freeze, just weeks before football season was set to kickoff, with Interim Head Coach Matt Luke. Throughout the season Luke received his share of criticism and praise, with many skeptical he would be given the position of head coach.

Meanwhile local restaurateur and chef, John Currence, was less than excited about head coach hire.
“Keeping the ship together” and being loyal to the program does NOT qualify anyone to be a head coach in any SEC program. The coaching errors this season were innumerable and glaring. I am glad the players love him, but this is an unfortunate decision for UM.
