On Friday night, freshman third baseman Will Golsan had a career night, going three for five form the plate with tow doubles and four RBI en route to an Ole Miss 10-7 victory.
“He’s been swinging it well for us at the top of the lineup, and he’s had some big hits,” said Ole Miss Head Coach Mike Bianco of Golsan. “It’s not just getting on base, but he’s coming through with some RBIs. He was huge tonight.”
On Saturday, Ole Miss was not as fortunate. Tennessee led 6-1 and Golsan went zero for four from the plate. Ole Miss scored some late runs, but eventually fell to the Volunteers, 6-3.
Ole Miss 16-15 (5-6) will take on Tennessee 13-14 (3-8) tomorrow at 1:30 in the series deciding game. The game will be carried by SEC Network+. For a complete look at stats for Ole Miss Baseball in 2015, click here: Ole Miss Baseball
