Record Store Day 2015 is rapidly approaching: this year it’s on Saturday, April 18th. Aside from the sale of great/limited edition/special print records, The End Of All Music has some seriously awesome things planned for this yearly celebration, including their first vinyl release (a spoken word Barry Hannah record) and a performance by Po Hannah and High Water Railers. Plus there will be (free) special single hop black IPA beer by Yalobusha Brewing Co. called “Bats Out of Ale,” beer by Oxford Brewing Co., and food by Home Place Pastures down the road in Como.
Speaking of The End Of All Music, they’ve chosen their Record of the Month for April: Beale Street Saturday Night, a compilation produced by Jim Dickinson in 1979 which features Furry Lewis, Sid Selvidge, Fred Ford, Alex Chilton, and a slew of other talented Memphis musicians. ROTM members will receive a copy of the first pressing of this reissue, on clear vinyl, and a very limited, signed, numbered print of Jim Dickinson by photographer Pat Rainer.
