Surplussed Atlanta—The Built Environment of Homelessnessment of Homelessness, a photography exhibit, will be on display at the Powerhouse through September 26
The Sarahfest Artshow welcomes Chuck Steffan and his exhibit, Surplussed Atlanta—The Built Environment of Homelessnessment of Homelessness, as part of Sarahfest 2024. The show is held in partnership with the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.
“We’re excited to have an amazing Sarahfest lineup this fall. We kick things off with the photography by Chuck Steffen.” said Theresa Starkey, associate director of the Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies. “His powerful images explore the issue of homelessness in Atlanta, GA, from the 2010s, a subject that ties into the Sarah Isom Center’s programming theme this year focused on The Body Politic.”
The exhibit is located at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center, 413 South 14th Street, Oxford, MS, 38655. There will be a reception on Thursday, September 26 at 5:30 PM at the Powerhouse preceding the Thacker
Mountain Radio Show.
