On Saturday, October 5, 2019, at approximately 7:00 pm, an officer with the Oxford Police Department conducted a traffic stop on US 278 westbound near Chucky Mullins Drive on a car with no license plate.
During the officers’ roadside investigation, the officer found out the car was reported stolen from Arlington, Texas. The suspect is Contessa Johnson. She’s 35 from Euless, Texas.
Johnson was arrested for possession of stolen property, DUI 1st, and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. She was given a bond of $10,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
