Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens
This is the movie that fans have been waiting for. Directed by JJ Abrams, the power behind Lost and Fringe has awakened the franchise. This film masterfully incorporates the look and tempo of the original film, Star Wars: A New Hope. Abrams provides everything the fans wanted in Episodes 1-3 but were denied. If you have any love for Star Wars you need to see this film. Perhaps it will awaken the force inside you.
Sisters
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler star in this hilarious coming-of-middle-age story. This fun flick is a star-studded run down memory lane. The sisters revile in the past and learn to enjoy the present, all while trying to make a better future. The film was Written By SNL veteran Paula Pell and directed by Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect). If you liked Bridesmaids or Baby Mama this movie is for you.
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip
This is the fourth Chipmunk movie in the series. The plot veers away from the first three films. We follow Alvin, Simon, and Theodore in a more domestic adventure. While watching this movie I am reminded of a less effective version of The Parent Trap and Blended. This movie provides more for the kid than their parents. So take the kids, they will love to see the Chipmunks!
Daddy’s Home
Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg shine in this domesticated comedy. Written and directed by Sean Anders, writer of Hot Tub Time Machine and Horrible Bosses 2, this is a fun-filled family romp, who’s rough road leads to a happy home. Ferrell and Wahlberg have an on-screen chemistry that makes this movie a must-see. If you liked The Other Guys you will love this movie!
Coming Soon: The Revenant – 1/8/2016, The Boy – 1/22/2016, Kung Fu Panda 3 – 1/29/2016
