On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, just after midnight, officers with the Oxford Police Department responded to Rooster’s on The Square for a report of someone discharging a firearm inside.
Officers arrived and found that a subject had discharged his firearm and shot himself with a non-life threatening injury. The subject was transported by ambulance to Baptist Memorial Hospital. This incident is still under investigation and no one has been charged at this time.
