On May 17, 2024, the Oxford Police Department received a call from Lee County Sheriff’s Office regarding a man in reference to a report of child molestation.
Throughout this time, the suspect, Zachary Adams, 28, Tupelo, Mississippi, had been in jail due to similar crimes in another jurisdiction. An officer with the Oxford Police Department served Adams a warrant at the Lee County Detention Center on October 8th, 2024.
Zachary Adams was arrested on three counts of Molesting (Touching Child or Mentally Defective or Physically Helpless Person for Lustful Purposes.)
The bond for Adams’ has been set by a Municipal Court judge. The Oxford Police Department would like to thank the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this case.
