On June 27, 2024, Deputies from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary complaint on County Road 395. Several hours later, Deputies located the suspect, 40 year old Johnathan Carpenter of Water Valley.
During the investigation, Deputies located property inside the suspect’s vehicle that was taken in the burglary. The suspect was arrested and transported to LCDC for [97-17-23] Burglary—Breaking and Entering Dwelling House or Inner Door of a Dwelling.
Justice court set bond at $50,000.
